Pulmosonix: Non-invasive Upper Airway Patency Monitoring Device
Our client approached Invetech to help them develop a device for diagnosis of respiratory illnesses in infants and adults.

Invetech, in close collaboration with researchers from Monash University, designed and developed a non-invasive device, which uses acoustic techniques for continuous airway monitoring during sleep.

The final product helps diagnose and monitor Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). OSA refers to closure of the upper-airway during sleep. It is believed to affect more than 5 per cent of the adult population and has been linked to heart attack, stroke and hypertension.
The end result provides major improvements over existing technologies and is suitable for both the adult and infant respiratory illness markets, estimated to be worth more than billion annually.
