- Pulmosonix
- Product
- Upper airway patency monitoring device.
Our Ingenuity
Invetech, in close collaboration with researchers from Monash University, designed and developed a non-invasive device, which uses acoustic techniques for continuous airway monitoring during sleep.
Our team:
- Designed and developed of the hardware and a flexible, easy-to-use platform
- Developed the software with advanced digital signal process (DSP) configurations to enhance flexibility of product usage
Your Advantage
The final product helps diagnose and monitor Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). OSA refers to closure of the upper-airway during sleep. It is believed to affect more than 5 per cent of the adult population and has been linked to heart attack, stroke and hypertension.
The end result provides major improvements over existing technologies and is suitable for both the adult and infant respiratory illness markets, estimated to be worth more than billion annually.
