The Diagnostics Marketing Association (DxMA), serving marketing, regulatory and medical affairs professionals in the diagnostic and device market segments, today presented its 2014 Marketer of the Year Award to Invetech, a company that creates breakthrough instruments and custom automation systems for the Diagnostics Industry. Presented at the Dx Creative Communications Awards program in conjunction with the annual DxMA Global Marketing Summit, the award recognizes companies that have demonstrated significant achievement in marketing innovation in the diagnostics industry.

Invetech was selected for its What’s Your Challenge? marketing campaign, which was launched during the 2014 American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) meeting to spotlight the company’s extensive experience and capabilities in helping diagnostics companies address a range of needs in point-of-care (POC) diagnostic product design, engineering and production. The integrated campaign’s aim was to disrupt traditional interactions that occur at large trade events with a focus on maximizing engagement through hands-on demonstrations of problem-solving technologies and strategies as well as on-site expert advice. The AACC Meeting is one of the largest industry events focused on diagnostic products and technologies, with 770 exhibitors and more than 19,000 attendees.

“The DxMA Award is presented to companies that demonstrate a significant commitment to marketing innovation involving a range of tactics in a multi-disciplined campaign designed to leave a memorable impression,” said Peggy Robinson, president DxMA. “The competition was fierce, and we saw many examples of companies taking risks and setting entirely new standards in marketing. Our judges determined that Invetech’s What’s Your Challenge? campaign raised the bar to new levels in terms of marketing impact and customer engagement. We were particularly impressed by the integration and co-ordination of the various elements of Invetech’s activities into one seamless campaign.”

Key elements of the Invetech What’s Your Challenge campaign included:

  • A breakfast briefing event with industry leaders and KOLs on POC and emerging markets
  • “Meet the Experts” interactions to assess real-time client goals in diagnostics development and production
  • A showcase of instruments demonstrating how Invetech has solved a range of diagnostic product challenges for clients
  • A targeted digital campaign before and after AACC with the theme “Bring Us Your Biggest Challenge”
  • Interactive “Chalk Talks” connecting experts in all phases of diagnostic product development with clients using real-time graphic illustrations of a wide range of product development needs and realized solutions.

“Our goal with the What’s your Challenge campaign was to help Invetech really stand out at AACC by spotlighting both our experience and our ability to begin the problem-solving process with clients right on the spot,” said Yannick Claereboudt, Global Vice President, Marketing, at Invetech. “This recognition by DxMA is another reflection of our ongoing commitment to being the most effective and flexible option to help any diagnostics company address the full range of product development, design and production issues effectively on a local and global scale.”
