David James Speaks on Cell Therapies for Cardiovascular Diseases

Invetech's David James, Director, Life Science and Pharmaceutical, will present at the Conference on Cell Therapy for Cardiovascular Disease, to be held January 25–27 in New York.

David, and other leaders from the international community, will convene to present their work, experiences, observations, and opinions on the benefits and unmet challenges of cell-based therapies.

In conjunction with industry specialists including Andrea Hunt, Robert Lindblad, Robert A Preti and Randy Yerden, David will address cell-therapy commercialization including procedures, systems management, and advanced technologies to help achieve this. David will outline some of the recent developments in automation using closed consumables and how these are creating a paradigm shift in the commercial scale manufacture of cell therapies.

The Conference on Cell Therapy for Cardiovascular Disease is a two-and-a-half day conference dedicated to the evolving field of cell-based therapies for the repair and regeneration of cardiac and vascular disease. The agenda will cover 3 broad categories, including:

1. "Stem Cell Arts and Design": to bring forward current thinking regarding cell biology and study design
2. "Clinical Trial Results and Trends": a comprehensive look at cardiac and peripheral arterial studies
3. "Action Planning and Implementation": integrated strategies to propel the field forward
